With its unique position as a leading Yoga Research Organization in the World, SVYASA has been given the mandate by leading Government bodies to conduct various research projects.

The following is a snapshot of some of the Research projects undertaken by us:

"Yoga for computer-related health problems" to the Central Council for Research in Yoga & Naturopathy, Govt. of India, New Delhi.
Measuring Consciousness fields using a Random Event generator.
"Yoga based Lifestyle interventions in Preventive Cardiology and Diabetology"
Effect of yoga on immunological and autonomic status in bronchial asthmatics - A randomized controlled study.

Future Projects

1. SVYASA has entered into collaboration with Osher Center for Integrative Medicine, University of California, San Francisco in writing a grant proposal for National Institute of Health on Complementary and alternative medicine.
2. A proposal has been submitted to Alkem Laboratories, Mumbai for infrastructure development of Immunology and Molecular Biology lab.
3. Research & Infrastructural Proposal for "Center for Advanced Studies in Yoga" to Indian Council of Radical Research, Govt. of India, New Delhi.

Conference Presentations

1. Papers presented at the International Conference and Workshop on Yoga for Positive Health, from March 2nd -7th 2002, organized by Swami Vivekananda Yoga Research Foundation USA, at the University of Houston Wellness Center, Houston, Texas, USA.
2. Papers presented at the First Karnataka State Level Conference on Emerging Trends in Naturopathy and Yoga. March 5-7, 2002, organized by Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheswara Education Society, Santhivana Trust, Indian Naturopathy and Yoga Graduates Association.


In India, sVyasa has collaborated with many Natural Health centers including Indus Valley Ayurveda Center in Mysore. NIMHANS or National Institute for Mental Health and Neurological Sciences and sVyasa have collaborated on many fronts too.
For PhD program in Yoga and Allied Sciences, two batches are currently registered under Bangalore University, Bangalore.
